namaste

Marionette

Namaste is a Sanskrit word meaning "I bow to you," a respectful greeting that conveys goodwill, honor, and reverence. The word is formed from the Sanskrit words namah (bow) and te (to you). It is a traditional greeting found on the Indian subcontinent and in Southeast Asia, performed by placing the palms together at the chest and bowing the head. In the context of yoga, it often carries a more spiritual meaning, recognizing a divine spark in both the speaker and the recipient.

The word is typically accompanied by the Anjali Mudra gesture: hands pressed together at the heart, fingers pointing upward, with a slight bow of the head.

NAMASTE PRAYER

I honor the place in you in which the whole universe resides.

I honor the place of love, light and peace.

When you are in that place in you

and I am in that place in me

we are truly

I offer this puppet humbly and with respect. This is Namaste. She is a little monk. She has sitting and walking meditation positions. She enjoys Dharma, meditation, farming, music, and yoga. Namaste has a humble and deep bow.

“Nuns are an important part of the Buddhist monastic tradition right from the time the first women were introduced into the Sangha by the Buddha himself. The Buddha's step mother (Mahaprajapati) and wife (Yashodhara) were the first two nuns…there is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in the potential of a monk or nun or lay person to achieve enlightenment…Today, however, most of the Buddhist orders have lost the lineage of full ordination for nuns (except Korean Dharmaguptika)
