ESA: Emotional Support Alligator

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) manages a program that allows for the legal harvest of alligators. The average annual harvest from this program is around 24,000. I rescued one. Maceo named her Esa. She has been genetically modified to be loving instead of aggressive. She comes with a stroller, sling, bottle, a piece of my childhood blanket, and a book about how to keep your pet alligator. Honestly, she’s a bit much. We’re getting to know each other. I’m Learning a lot. This was my first and only attempt so far at taxidermy-based puppetry. More videos coming soon. I wear Band-Aids on my face with her. so much fun!
